After the printed of the final episode of Dungeon Meshi on June 13, 2024, the anime shall be formally greenlit for a second season.
To have fun the announcement, a model new trailer and visible have been launched.

Yoshihiro Miyajima was director at studio TRIGGER, whereas Kimiko Ueno was in command of collection scripts. Naoki Takeda offered the character design and Yasunori Mitsuda composed the music.
Dungeon Meshi (Great In Dungeon) is a manga collection written and illustrated by Ryoko Kui. The collection is printed in Kadokawa’s Haruta journal. It started serialization in February 2014, with the chapters collected into 14 tankobon volumes.
It was nominated twice for the Manga Taisho awards, in 2016 and 2019, and gained the Kono Manga ga Sugoi listing in 2016.
Yen Press licensed the collection in North America. They describe the plot of the manga as follows:
When younger adventurer Laios and his social gathering are attacked and struck down by a dragon deep in a dungeon, the social gathering loses all its cash and provides… and a member! They’re keen to return and save her, however there’s only one downside: in the event that they set out with none meals or cash to talk of, they will certainly starve alongside the best way! However Laios comes up with an excellent concept: “Let’s eat the monsters!” Slime, basil and even dragons… nobody is secure from the appetites of those dungeon crawling gourmets!
