The official X account (previously Twitter) for the live-action sequence adaptation of the manga “Densetsu no Head Sho” by Takeshi Natsuhara and Takashi Hamori revealed key footage from the present, launched three further solid members, and confirmed a July 19 premiere date.

Naoko Iijima joins as Beniko Ijūin, Shō’s grandmother and founding father of the “Girls Beni” group, prominently positioned within the central picture. Karma takes on the function of Shin Tōjō, chief of the “Blood Mafia” group, depicted on the proper facet of the picture. Moe Yuki portrays Kanako Kasumi, a former member of “Girls Beni” and present bartender below Beniko’s administration.

The sequence will debut on TV Asahi on July 19 at 11:15 p.m. JST.

Fumiya Takahashi, identified for his function in “Kamen Rider Zero-One”, takes on the twin roles of protagonist Tatsuhito Yamada and gang chief Shō Ijūin. Nagisa Sekimizu, beforehand introduced, performs Aya Fujitani, the standout member of the idol group “Previous Avenue Nook Sukebans”.

Takashi Sumida, Keisuke Kondō and Hisashi Ueda are chargeable for directing, whereas Kazunao Furuya writes the scripts and Alisa Okehazama supplies the music.

The manga storyline revolves across the surprising assembly of two look-alikes: Shō Ijūin, chief of the large Grand Cross gang, and Tatsuhito Yamada, a low-ranking pupil within the faculty hierarchy. Their lives turn out to be intertwined in unexpected methods, resulting in a dramatic change.

“Densetsu no Head Sho” was initially printed in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Journal from 2003 to 2005, marking Natsuhara’s debut. Kodansha compiled the manga into 11 volumes.

After their collaboration on “Kurosagi – The Black Swindler,” Natsuhara and Kuromaru continued their inventive partnership. “Kurosagi – The Black Swindler” ran in Shogakukan’s Weekly Younger Sunday from 2003 to 2008, spanning 20 volumes. Its sequel, “Shin Kurosagi,” launched in Weekly Younger Sunday and resulted in Large Comedian Spirits, spanning 18 volumes till 2012.

The saga concluded in 2013 with the four-part “Shin Kurosagi Kanketsu-hen”. The sequence impressed a live-action tv adaptation starring Tomohisa Yamashita in 2006, adopted by a sequel movie in 2008 and a brand new sequence in October 2022.
