The live-action adaptation of Golden Kamuy will proceed with a sequel movie.
The announcement was made after the airing of the most recent episode of the WOWOW drama sequence Golden Kamuy: Hokkaido Irezumi Shuzin Soudatsu-hen on December 1.
A teaser has been unveiled to commemorate the announcement.
The primary live-action movie premiered in Japanese theaters on January 19, 2024. The follow-up drama sequence aired on WOWOW on October 6.
The artistic crew behind the drama included administrators Kenji Katagiri, Ken Ochiai and Yosuke Sato, who joined Shigeaki Kubo, the movie’s director.
The sequence additionally featured music by Yoshiaki Dewa, who collaborated with Yutaka Yamada, the movie’s composer.
Golden Kamuy is a Japanese manga sequence written and illustrated by Satoru Noda. It was serialized in Shueisha’s seinen manga journal Weekly Younger Soar from August 2014 to April 2022, with the chapters collected into thirty-one tankōbon volumes.
An anime tv sequence adaptation produced by Geno Studio, it aired with two seasons from April to December 2018. A 3rd season aired from October to December 2020. A fourth season, produced by Mind’s Base, aired from October 2022 to June 2023. A fifth season adapting the mangas. remaining arc has been introduced.
