Kumamoto, the hometown of Eiichiro Oda, has unveiled a brand new street security slogan impressed by One piece sequence.
Impressed by Luffy’s iconic phrase “I would be the king of the pirates”, is the town’s new site visitors slogan “I would be the King of Secure Driving!!!“.
The brand new slogan is a part of Kumamoto’s ongoing efforts to advertise street security whereas paying tribute to its native hero Oda, whose work within the subject One piece has gained worldwide fame.
Oda’s ties to his hometown lengthen past his inventive achievements.
After the devastating earthquakes that struck Kumamoto on April 14, 2016, Oda made a donation of ¥800,000,000 to assist within the metropolis’s reconstruction efforts.
In recognition of his important contributions, Kumamoto Governor Ikuo Kabashima introduced that the town would erect statues of the One piece characters as a strategy to honor Oda’s help.
The primary statue, unveiled on November 30, 2018, depicted Luffy and was positioned in entrance of the Kumamoto Prefecture authorities workplace. Since then, statues of the opposite Straw Hat Pirates have been unveiled in varied places across the prefecture.
