third venture in Kodansha‘s ‘Aniehon’ initiative

Youngsters’s image e book by Japanese adventurer Yasunaga Ogita and illustrator Nana Inoue Pihotek: Strolling with the Wind to the North Pole (Pihotek: Hokkyoku o Kaze to Aruku) or Pihotek: Strolling within the Arctic waters with the wind) impressed a brief anime. Animehon, a brand new animation initiative from Kodanshaposted the 30-second business model of the animation and the two-minute director’s lower model on September 6.

The brief movie is the third venture within the Animehon initiative, which animates brief movies based mostly on Kodansha‘s image books (ehon in Japanese).

Kodansha describes the story:

Impressed by his relationships with Inuit mates and 20 years of largely solo expeditions, Yasunaga Ogita writes a poetic account of a stroll within the Arctic. He observes animals of their pure habitat and falls asleep with a way of oneness with nature, mediated by the wind. When the brand new daybreak arrives with power for the world, he units out once more. An essay in the back of the e book discusses the seriousness of local weather change.

Kazuhiro Hocchi (episode director on Rita and Machin, Shonen Ashibe GO! TO GO! Goma-chan) directed the brief movie, and Yuri Habuka (Greater than a married couple, however not lovers, Maebashi Witches, Sunning on Ikimono Jiten) composed the music. Fanworks animated the brief movie.

Kodansha revealed the e book in August 2022.
