Sony Group Company introduced on Thursday throughout its annual enterprise technique presentation that it’s going to launch an academy to develop expertise to create anime.
The academy will goal to “(nurture) anime creators within the international markets, primarily via Aniplex And Crispy roll with collaboration from throughout the sector.”
Aniplex is a subsidiary of Sony Music Leisure Japan (SMEJ). Animation studios A-1 Pictures And Clover Works are subsidiaries of Aniplex.
Sony‘S Funimation International Group accomplished the acquisition of Crispy roll from AT&T on August 9, 2021, after the corporate first introduced the acquisition in December 2020. The acquisition value was $1.175 billion, with proceeds paid in money at closing. Funimation‘s house video releases at the moment are listed underneath Crispy roll.
Crispy roll reached over 13 million paying subscribers on the anime streaming service by the tip of December 2023.
